A large-scale celebration of the nationwide holiday Navruz was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Bishkek.

It was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of international organizations, experts, as well as representatives of Uzbek national cultural centers operating in Kyrgyzstan.

The celebration took place in an atmosphere of sincerity and hospitality, in the spirit of national traditions and values formed over centuries. Participants were offered traditional Uzbek dishes — sumalak, plov, and samsa. The process of preparing sumalak aroused particular interest as a symbol representing spring, renewal, and unity.
