The President of Uzbekistan: Our people are united
Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Amudaryo mahalla in Nukus, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our state, more than 6 thousand people live here. Residents work in two industrial enterprises, in more than 20 trade and service facilities.
Recently, internal roads, gas pipelines and electricity networks have been repaired in the mahalla. The territory of the mahalla has been landscaped. The facades of the school and preschool education institutions have been updated, and the conditions have been improved.
A sincere conversation took place with local leaders and elders in the courtyard of the mahalla school.
“It turns out that I visited Karakalpakstan most often, compared to other regions. We have learned that if we go down, if we act together, we can achieve changes. In recent years, great transformations have taken place in Karakalpakstan. The supply of drinking water has improved. The coverage of preschool education has increased. Many houses were built. I am very glad to see that such changes have taken place in your mahalla”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The elders said that the July events were a big mistake, some young people went astray. A dua was recited with the wishes of peace and tranquility to people noting that for centuries the Karakalpaks and Uzbeks had been closely connected with strong ties.
“Of course, we all took these events with great concern. They did not happen by the will of Karakalpakstan people. The conscience of the Karakalpakstan people is clear. Our people are united. May there be no more such troubles. May there always be peace in our country, and may our unity be eternal”, the President said.
Thereupon, the Head of the state completed his visit to Karakalpakstan and returned to Tashkent.
