Global forum on "Education in the field of human rights". Samarkand, December 5-6, 2022

On December 5-6, 2022, the Global Forum on "Education in the field of human rights" will be held in Samarkand. The initiative to hold this prestigious international conference was put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly and the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

In 2011, the UN adopted the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights Education and Training. The Declaration states that everyone has the right to know, to seek and receive information about all human rights and fundamental freedoms and must have access to education and training in the field of human rights. And human rights education and training are essential to the promotion of universal respect for and observance of all human rights and fundamental freedoms of all persons, in accordance with the principles of the universality, indivisibility and interdependence of human rights.

The leaders noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral ties, deepening a broad political dialogue, the provision of mutual support as a part of the international organizations, the promotion of inter-parliamentary dialogue in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and France.
